NYC’s most buzzed-about rapper, Ice Spice has delivered an EP. 23 year old Bronx-born rapper, Ice Spice had her break-through last year in 2022 when Drake gave her co-sign and playing her single, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” on OVO Radio, which became her breakout single, with over 39 million streams on Spotify alone. Though her popularity rose fast, her first and likely most important fan was her father.
Today, Ice Spice releases her six-track EP with 50% of her hits, “Munch (Feelin’ U)”, “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood”. Add to those NYC drill-expressive “Princess Diana”, the P. Diddy “I Need A Girl, Pt. 2” – Sampling “Gangsta Boo” and the Jersey club-indebted “Actin a Smoothie”, and you’ve got a picture of a young talent who is just getting warmed up.
“Those are six songs I already made. Fans are going to eat that up. And then there’s always time to evolve and grow as an artist. So, I’m not rushing to jump into another sound or rushing to do some different shit.”
