I think it’s safe to say Sampa the Great is one of my favourite musical artists, She really knows how to beautifully merge rock, blues and funk with traditional African sounds. Our banger is titled “Energy” and it was released in 2018 as a single, I’ve been hooked to it ever since I discovered it. From the hummings when it starts to Sampa’s self-assured and poised raps that allow us to see glimpses of Sampa the poet.
