
Nominated for Lyricist Of The Year and Mixtape Of The Year for both his projects “The Burning Tree” (2022) and his collaborative mixtape with his brother Jay Jody, “Heaven Can Wait Vol.1”, the Pretorian bred esteemed MC, A-REECE wants out of this years award ceremony.
Breaking old forms and creating new ones, the 25 year old, A-Reece issued a statement via his newly found and launched record label, Revenge Club Records, that he will not be part of this years South African Hip-Hop Awards as he has declined the categories he has been nominated in.
Jay Jody and I did not withdraw our “submissions”. We respectfully declined the nominations we received by the establishment.

The South African Hip-Hop team issued out a statement on their behalf alerting A-Reece fans ahead of the voting.
