Herbert finds Ab-Soul gliding effortlessly over soulful production through flows and bars that show no sign of rustiness at all despite his sporadic musical output in recent years.
Herbert has 9 featured artirst including some from the four previously released singles, it has the likes of Joey Bada$$, Zacari, Lance Skiiwalker, Fre$H, Jhené Aiko, Ambré, Big Sean, Almeda and SiR. The album’s cover image, created by Herbert, features Top Dawg Entertainment artist Ab-Soul as a bit of a child sporting a pair of headphones and surrounded by vintage audio equipment. The album is appropriately named after Ab-Soul. Soul’s nostalgic themes throughout the album are directly reflected in the artwork.
