Ab-Soul Releases New Album Titled “Herbet”

Ab-Soul presents his fans with Herbert, his first new album in more than six years. The TDE mainstay describes Herbert as an emotional look at his past that continues straight up to the present, after only appearing on a small number of songs since his last album, 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt. Herbert finds Ab-Soul gliding effortlessly over soulful production through flows and bars that show no sign of rustiness at all despite his sporadic musical output in recent years.

Herbert has 9 featured artirst including some from the four previously released singles, it has the likes of Joey Bada$$, Zacari, Lance Skiiwalker, Fre$H, Jhené Aiko, Ambré, Big Sean, Almeda and SiR. The album’s cover image, created by Herbert, features Top Dawg Entertainment artist Ab-Soul as a bit of a child sporting a pair of headphones and surrounded by vintage audio equipment. The album is appropriately named after Ab-Soul. Soul’s nostalgic themes throughout the album are directly reflected in the artwork.
