Adidas Cuts Ties With Ye Over Recent Antisemitic Comments

Ye has always proved to be a polarising figure within the broader entertainment landscape, however, his most recent comments seem to be a step too far with German Apparel company Adidas announcing that they would be parting ways with Ye stating “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness” in an official statement.

The announcement comes after Ye’s controversial comments on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs interview where he claimed that the Jewish community has an unmeasurable amount of power within the media field. Furthermore, he went on to make false claims about the death of George Floyd in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

These recent outbursts have resulted in him losing access to both his Twitter and Instagram accounts while he has been dropped by his talent agency CCA, fashion house Balenciaga and Vogue.
