aifheli’s “Silver” Is A Sonic Journey
I have been looking forward to aifheli’s Silver for the last 10 months or so and I can happily say that it lives up to the bill. Silver is unpredictable in its construction and listening to the album in its entirety is like being on a journey.

There are droves of musicians making similar-sounding music. Every now and again the lack of variety really gets to me and I take a break from listening because my ears crave something different. Silver is like a palette cleanser. Minimal songs like “Thaedzo” see him bring elements together in a way that keeps me intrigued. Think of the experience of watching a movie. If you can predict where the story is heading and how the director plans on getting you there, it’s easy to tune out. Silver is gripping in its sound and execution. Two feats that are easier said than done.
aifheli is an artist. One that you would have to clone in order to find anything resembling SILVER in their catalogue. I can honestly say that there are very few albums I would want to listen to for an hour straight and Silver is part of that select few. The best part of all of this is that aifheli is not even at the peak of his powers. Listen to Silver below.
