Amaarae, Santa Fe Klan and Tems Feature On “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Prologue”

The upcoming Black Panther Movie has generated an insane amount of buzz online with the release of the trailer. Outside of the stunning visuals on the trailer, Marvel fans were excited to hear snippets of the soundtrack of Black Panther which was a mash up of Tems’ “No Woman No Cry” with Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright”. We are in for a sonic treat to accompany the release of Black Panther with Marvel releasing a 3 track prologue before what we assume will be the main soundtrack album. The 3 track prologue includes a full rendition of Tems’ soft-spoken “No Woman No Cry”. The song is followed by Nigerian maverick Amaarae’s “A Body, A Coffin” single which sees Amaarae deliver her distinct Afrofusion sound and trademark high pitch cadence. The prologue is brought to an end with a song simply titled “Soy” with LatinX rapper Santa Fe Klan, bringing an international flavour to the prologue. Listen to the prologue below.
