Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” Album Has Surpassed 1 Billion Streams On Spotify

The Queen in her Queendom! Having released her seventh studio album on July 29, 2022, by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records, Beyoncé has been dominating the Apple Music and Spotify charts – without even lifting a finger to promote it!

TikTok comes into play once again by making a song extremely popular and unavoidable, this time the TikTok users have done it with “Cuff It”, making it Beyoncé’s second most streamed single right after “Break My Soul.”

Beyoncé conceived and recorded Renaissance during the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking to inspire liberation and joy in listeners who had experienced isolation. The genre is a clever fusion of sounds, which she categorizes as Dance House R&B. With the album being out on all digital streaming platforms and on vinyl’s for just four months, Renaissance has accumulated 1 Billion streams on Spotify (as announced by her official news page on Twitter). This is now, Beyoncé’s fastest album and seventh album to achieve this mind blowing milestone.

Additional information – Renaissance is also now eligible for the PLATINUM certification for having surpassed 1 MILLION copies sold in the United States, beginning of November 2022. Worth noting that Renaissance becomes the first female album this year to spend 100 days within the Top 10 of global and US Apple Music.
