We knew Blaq Diamond as one of the remaining signed artist(s) at Ambitiouz Records, well until last night when snippets of their interview at the Podcast & Chill podcast with Mac G and Sol Phenduka surfaced on Twitter. The duo confirmed that they have parted ways with the record label amicably.
Following that, they released a song together with its visuals titled “iLanga” on YouTube which serves as an answer to all the burning questions they have been receiving concerning their career. The visuals for “iLanga” have cameos from Podcast hosts Mac G and Sol, hmmm.
The song is currently climbing the charts ladder as it’s trending #07 on Youtube Music and like they say “ingoma zethu ziyalandelelana kuma charts njengama kinopi”, you can never deny that Blaq Diamond will release a song and it’ll become a hit. They may be Blaq Diamond, but everything they touch turns to gold or maybe platinum.
