Boohle to headline Africa Rising Music Conference Electronic Line-UP

The festival, which will take place at Johannesburg’s Hallmark Hotel from May 23 to 24, 2023, will include some of the best and upcoming electronic talents from the African and European music scenes.
The evening program at ARMC has been thoughtfully chosen to showcase the best up-and-coming artists honoring genres with African influences. After the conference on day two, electronic performers will hit the stage.
Some of the most interesting artists, including Boohle as well as OKVSHO, Deep Aztec, Rose Bonica, Megatronic (UK), kMat DJ, and El Mukuka (Zambia), will be on the ARMC By Night electronic roster. A wide variety of musical styles, including house, techno, amapiano, and experimental electronica, will be represented, guaranteeing attendees a memorable musical experience.
Two showcase events will be held at the event, plus there will be a jam-packed schedule of other events, such as panel discussions, workshops, and live musical performances. The conference this year promises to be a bright and thrilling celebration of African music, giving up-and-coming musicians a stage on which to display their abilities and network with established professionals.
Africa is not an exception to the global trend of electronic music’s recent growth. The popularity of electronic music across genres has increased throughout the continent, which has a rich cultural history and a growing appetite for new sounds.
After last year’s success and backing from organizations like Mixmag and Trace TV Southern Africa, the conference will once again include prominent figures in the electronic music industry, such as Groove Mag, one of Germany’s oldest electronic music journals, and the Association for Electronic Music.
