Broke Boys | Shifting The Cape Town Nightlife One Thursday At a Time

The Broke Boys – once re-imagined by myself as the new age members of Emzin’iwezintsizwa – is a collective of creatives that are within different creative fields but collectively shifting the culture of the “nightlife” in Cape Town while concomitantly exploring and growing as creatives. Being in the “night life” scene goes hand in hand with alcohol, and these boys are on the right track as they have worked with two of the biggest alcohol brands, namely, Budweiser and Miller for the recent Boiler Room x Miller event the boys curated on the 13th of May 2022.

This collective has been steadily and effortlessly keeping everyone’s dancing shoes on for their unconventional collaboration with Tiger’s Milk Clubhouse which gets turned into the Broke Klubhouse on Thursdays in Kloof Street. It’s quite commendable seeing young, black creatives who had nothing but dreams, ambitions and ideas thriving, expanding their horizons, aspiring their peers and creating safe spaces for generations to come.

As cheesy and corny as this may sound, ain’t no party like a Broke Boys party cause a Broke Boys party don’t stop.
