ChopLife SoundSystem has Released a New Album Titled “Choplife, Vol 1: Mzansi Chronicles”

The two are prepared to dominate the African music scene after releasing Choplife Vol 1 – Mzansi Chronicles, the first volume of their music series. The mixtape contains fourteen tracks that were recorded in South Africa between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Focalistic & Anaati on By Force, Ami Faku, Moonchild Sanelly, Major League DJs, Mellow & Sleazy, Nkosazana Daughter, 2woshort & Stompiiey, and Mo-T & Aymos on Ziwa La are just a few of the featured artists on the album.

Along with Type A from Nigeria and South African beatmakers Mellow & Sleazy, Ghetto Boy, Milan Rendall, LuuDaDeejay, Soul Jam, and Mathondos, the project is also produced by Mozambique’s DJ Tárico (well known for his 2021 hit, Yaba Buluku, which features Burna Boy). The project is better positioned for a wider audience among aficionados of African music because of the Afrocentric yet cross-cultural connection on it.

Future volumes of the mixtape series will examine further genres of African club and party music, despite the fact that this project feeds voraciously on Amapiano. Listen to Choplife, Vol 1: Mzansi Chronicles below:
