CKay’s “CKay The First” EP Surpasses 500 Million Streams On Spotify

Ckay has achieved a major milestone in his career with his CKay The First EP surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify. This achievement puts CKay in elite company with Burna Boy’s African Giant. The achievement should come as no surprise as “love nwantiti (ah ah ah) became a global phenomenon, launching several dance challenges across the globe. At the time of writing the song has amassed over 488 million streams alone.

The success of the song prompted CKay to record a remix to capitalise on the rave it. He called on Joeboy & Kuami Eugene to accompany him on the remix and they wasted no time in delivering a visual product to match. With the huge amount of success that the song achieved one would wonder if CKay is a fully-fledged hit maker or a one-hit wonder due to his relative silence in the years following CKay The First. He soon silenced all doubters with the release of his 2021 Boyfriend album and it solidified his place as a major recording artist on a global scale and saw him collaborate with other huge acts like Amaarae and Oxlade.

Showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, CKay has already delivered his first single of the year, “Maria”. The single sees him follow the formula that has brought him success in the past and as the saying goes, if it ain’t broke…
