Keep your friends close but the Music even closer! After meeting on the set of the well-known SABC DJ talent show 1s and 2s, Dj Zinhle and Mvzzle collaborated to produce the smash track Umlilo. Since Umlilo, the duo has always wanted to collaborate on another song, and with the release of their most recent single, ‘Ngisimamise’ which drops on the 18th of November, the chance finally arrived.
I have a lot of ideas in my head, and working with Mvzzle has given me so much confidence because he believes in my ideas and he is able to translate them into music. We work very well together, he has his strengths in the studio and I have mine. We always find a middle ground
DJ Zihle
The multi-talented vocalist and songwriter Sindi Nkosazana is also included in ‘Ngisimamise’. Sindi Nkosazana was introduced to Dj Zinhle through Mvzzle, and the DJ knew she wanted to collaborate with her right away. Ngisimamise is a song of hope, which characterises DJ Zinhle’s music in general. We all know Zinhle adores releasing music that uplifts her listeners.
Ngisimamise means Lift me up and I am reminding my Listeners of this promise from God, We took this song to different environments and switched it up/ adjusted it according to the reception at different places until we finally got “there” sound!”

The decision to release the music was based on the artists’ perception of how remarkable it was and how it affects listeners. Hope has always been the source of inspiration, and when they realised that’s what music imparts to listeners, they decided they will release it. This is a dance floor banger that brings people to tears, It is unclear at this time whether Dj Zinhle, Sindi Nkosazana, and Mvzzle will release an album together. But anything is possible.
