Drake and 21 Savage released a joint album titled Her Loss on the 04th of November. The album was received quite well even after a week-long delay. This joint body of work is reported to have been aiming for a #1 debut on the US albums chart with over 335-350K units in its first week of release, with 425-450 million streams. The duo has taken an unconventional marketing approach and album rollout by posting ‘comical’ fake press, performances and interview clips that started with a fake Vogue cover of the duo, 21’s fake GQ “What’s in My Bag” video, Tiny Desk performance and now a fake live SNL performance that has a snippet of Michael B Jordan.
The duo performed the third song on the project ‘On BS’ on their 3 minutes 45 seconds SNL performance. The performance has been making rounds on Tiktok for two reasons, the first one being Michael B Jordan’s skit which introduces the duo and then the two standout lines from both artists, 21 Savage’s “I jump on your song and make you sound like you the feature” and Drake’s “I jump on your song and make a label think they need ya, for real.” Watch the video and listen to the album.
