FALZ dropped his 5th Studio album titled B A H D and it is currently the number 1 album in Nigeria. The album is the stuff of Afro Pop Gold. The veteran artist called on fellow countrymen Boy Spyce, BXN fka BUJU, The cavemen and Tiwa Savage to accompany him on the 12 track offering.
“Ice Cream” is perhaps the song that most exemplifies what stands out about the album. FALZ possesses an understanding of the level of skill necessary to create a classic Afrobeat listening experience. B A H D sees FALZ serenade easy-going beats with ear enchanting melodies. Part of FALZ’s charm lies in the variation of his cadence; hovering somewhere between slightly pitched vocals and deeper rap verses depending on the production. FALZ’s approach has the right amount of finesse to appeal to every sub-section of Afrobeat lovers.
