Jac Lou is an artist that has steadily made his way onto our radar with his latest release being “Sincerely Yours”. From the onset, the song feels peculiar with dark eerie sounds welcoming us in and I couldn’t help but wonder which direction the song is headed towards.
Jac Lou opens the song with lyrics about love lost with the aforementioned sounds, and it gives the song a unique dark character, but that all comes to an end with Rhea Blek’s emergence on the song at around the 1-minute mark. Her presence on the song provides a nice contrast to Jac Lou’s opening verse and her backup vocals throughout serve as the icing on the metaphorical cake. In all honesty, this is probably the most unique heartbreak I have listened to in my short career. It’s something of a sonic interpretation of a horror movie in that you never know what is going to happen next. Listen to “Sincerely Yours” below.
