Karabo Poppy Moletsane, widely known as just Karabo Poppy is a Johannesburg-based multi-award-winning illustrator, graphic designer as well as a street artist. Karabo is widely known for her authentic African print illustrations and for preserving the African Aesthetic. She has collaborated with some of the biggest brands throughout her ever-growing career, some of the brands include; KFC, iTunes and Nike in a collaboration where she designed 3x sold-out Nike AF1s that we have seen worn by American professional basketball player Lebron James on her recent Instagram post.
Karabo has now announced her newest collaboration with Cîroc US, “Worked with Diddy on these designs centered around his affirmations, his career, the theme of LOVE and the Passion flavour of Ciroc Vodka” Karabo said. American rapper, singer, record producer, record executive, actor, and entrepreneur – Diddy, signed to help develop the Cîroc brand in the US for a 50% share of the company’s profits back in 2007 and they have been continuously breaking new ground ever since.
I was commissioned by Ciroc USA to create 42” high x 14″ wide pillars that would be a part of the Ciroc Passion flavour launch in Harlem, New York City. The pillars would form part of a scenery experience where my illustrations would form part of sight.
These pillars centred around Diddy’s affirmations, his career, the theme of LOVE and the Passion flavour of Ciroc Vodka.

The new vodka flavour is said to have been created from fine French grapes before being infused with an exotic blend of distinctive flavours inspired by the tropics. Expect to taste pineapple, mango, citrus and hibiscus. Cîroc suggests enjoying Passion neat on the rocks or they’ve helpfully created three new recipes to follow at home:
The first recipe is Cîroc Passion Spritz: 50ml CÎROC Passion, 20ml Prosecco, 100ml Soda Water. Garnish Pineapple Wedge, the second recipe is a mixture of Cîroc Passion Martini Cocktail: 50ml CÎROC Passion, 25ml Pineapple Juice, 20ml Passionfruit Syrup and lastly Cîroc Passion Tropics: 50ml CÎROC Passion, 50ml Tropical Juice, 100ml Lemonade. Garnish Mint/Edible Flowers.
