Lady Donli Announces Sophomore Album – “Pan African Rockstar”

Born in Ohio and raised in Abuja, Lady Donli is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who taps into alternative R&B, hip hop, alternative jazz and Afrobeat. Most importantly, she’s a rockstar. Lady Donli’s music is highly influenced by Africa’s musical giants which include Brenda Fassie, Angelique Kidjo and Aṣa. She also draws inspiration from Erykah Badu and Nigeria’s music pioneer, Tony Tetuila, Six Foot Plus.
In 2019, she released her sapid album titled Enjoy Your Life. This body of work introduced us to the multi-layered and poetic universe of Lady Donli and her Cash Mommy persona. Fela represents freedom and he represents a revolution for what music is in Africa and what music is in Nigeria or what could actually be and that’s what Lady Donli also stands for, distilling happiness and pan-Africanism within her artistry.
She took to social media (Instagram to be precise) to announce that she will be releasing her sophomore album titled Pan African Rockstar in 2023. The first official single from the album is titled ‘Hello Lady’ and it has not been released yet, but you can pre-save or pre-add the single on all music streaming platforms.
