The pop meets R&B Afrobeats Lagos star Bowofoluwa Olufisayo Odunsi known popularly as Odunsi(The Engine) has released an EP titled ‘Demin’ after a long absence. Odunsi, began his solo career in 2016 under the talent management company KME (Kimani Moore Entertainments), where he released his debut EP Time of Our Lives (TOOL) which received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Fast forward to 2022 and he is amongst the rapidly rising Nigerian stars.
This new EP follows his previous album, Half a Tab, which was released in November 2021 and is a fusion of R&B and Afrobeats. We also get to hear Odunsi tap into the Pop Rap genre that he somehow makes work, all the songs perfectly blend in together. There are four songs on the EP, and 2aab makes an appearance. The Ep is 6 min and 56secs long making fans want more, the Ep feels like a tease where Odunsi is just giving us a little taste of what I hope is preparation for something bigger.
