South African producer duo Major League DJz have made great strides in their career and in the furthering of the Amapaino wave overseas. However, there has been one country in particular that has taken a liking to Amapiano and that is the UK. UK based artist Jorja Smith received huge backlash from South Africans following the release of her Amapiano song, which was deemed as appropriation because there were no South Africans involved in the song despite their heavy presence in the UK.
With the amount of time Major League DJz frequent the UK, it comes as no surprise to see them working with Jorja Smith on a new song. The producer duo shared an exclusive snippet of a song that they have up their sleeve with Jorja Smith. The song is a smooth blend of Amapiano and Jorja Smith sounds as comfortable on the production as any South African vocalist would. Listen to the snippet below.
