Megan Thee Stallion’s New Body of Work “Traumazine” is Here

Megan Thee Stallion is back after two years of no new body of work. Her last offering Good News was released back in 2020. I hope you are ready to over-indulge on Traumazine because Ms Tina Snow is.. and I quote, “sick of being humble cause you b* don’t respect that.”
Traumazine is defined as “the chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences.

Traumazine is a carefully wrapped body of work that I believe doubles as a safe space Megan created as a seem to allow herself to revisit and talk about the traumatic experiences she endured two years ago when she got shot on the foot by Tory Lanez as alleged and the cyberbullying that came along with.

The new offering has a total of 18 songs and 10 features, it opens up with a song titled “NDA” and as mentioned on Genius, Megan comes clean about the downsides of her overnight rise to fame and success. She didn’t hold back on the following songs as well, particularly “Not Nice” the third song on Traumazine where she puts her broke opps back in their place, “I’m on my “F- you” sh-, b-, I’m done bein’ nice.”
Traumazine is (in an unconventional Mukondi example) a platter with different types of canapes and in this context different types of sounds. From what sounds like an old-school hip hop influence and flow on “Plan B” to the four-to-the-floor house/dance beat on “Her” (my current favourite) to a pop sound on “Star.”
I have to tell my own story the way I feel like it should be told. I can’t leave my fate in anybody else’s hands.
