“Mr. Money With The Vibe” Is Out

The wait for Asake’s debut album titled Mr. Money With The Vibe. is finally out and I can’t help but want to end this title with “right now” but moving on, the album came out on Friday the 09th of September and had a great reception. There are songs from the album that we have already heard and fell in love with which include; ‘Sungba Remix’ with Burna Boy, ‘Peace Be Unto You’ and ‘Terminator.’

The new songs follow through with the perfect blend of two massive genres in the continent currently – Amapiano and Afrobeat. This album was made for the dance floor and being ushered into spring and summer with its release is the cherry on top. My favourite song from the album right now is undeniably ‘Muse’ which strays away from the upbeat and groovy feel, it is mellow and requires one to just bop their head and hum along.

Mr. Money With The Vibe sees Asake lean into the larger-than-life persona that songs like “Sungba” and “PALAZZO” established.
