PUMA Launches Cotton Fest F.C Collection ft. Riky Rick

Cotton Fest is a musical festival that was founded by the late Riky Rick back in 2019. This music festival was curated by a cotton eater for the new generation of cotton eaters who are also music enthusiasts. The last Cotton Fest which took place earlier this year in April brought us the limited edition self-customised Cotton Fest Merch in collaboration with Puma. I believe that was the first partnership between the fest and the brand.
Yesterday, Cotton Fest announced their new collaborative collection with Puma South Africa. The collection is said to be inspired by the sport aspect of the festival’s “University of Cotton Fest” collegiate theme showcasing 90’s football statement pieces like the T7 tracksuit top, soccer shorts, football top and soccer balls. This is a special collection as it was Riky Rick’s final collection.

Shot by renowned photographer Young Stilo on a soccer field the campaign features numerous familiar faces making it even extra special – with his kids in the forefront of almost all images and his partner Bianca Naidoo and brothers Themba, Toby and Sheikani Dladla.
PUMA is very privileged to be able to bring this collection to the market and is committing to a R100 000 bursary for final year AFDA students to cover shortfalls on their fees and assist them to graduate. The arts were close to Riky’s heart and as he was a former AFDA student, PUMA and Riky’s family agreed that supporting the students was an appropriate way to honour his legacy.
