Nike & Kasina joined forces to create an upcoming Nike Air Max 1 x Kasina, “Made To Be Together” which honors cross-cultural storytelling and heritage. This Kasina collaboration with Nike Air Max 1 is affording a platform that brings the Korean sentiment to the world. The silhouette of this Air Max 1 was created using new materials along with two new colorways inspired by the appearance of ‘Mandarin duck’, a natural monument of Korea.
This particular Air Max 1 was created to celebrate Kasina’s 25th anniversary and both colourways pay homage to traditional Korean colors and materials, with textures, soft suede and rosy undertones. There is also dark green and blue hues on the upper that bring to mind the natural environments that ducks tend to inhabit. The collaboration between Nike and Kasina also brings a unique Swoosh that’s been customized with a wooden dubrae and Won-Ang keychain.
The collaborative Nike Air Max 1 x Kasina will be released on the Kasina website on June 4th and SNKRS on June 8th.
