Nissi Ogulu is a singer and songwriter and she also happens to be Burna Boy’s sister. Nissi has one body of work and numerous singles, one being her hit-single ‘Gravity’ she collaborated with South African Amapiano DJs Major League. Nissi has now released a new single titled ‘Overthinking’, a three-minute-long song that she made for all the people whose minds are always working overtime, like myself.
Drawing inspiration from Alicia Keys, Nina Simone, Michael Jackson, and Jay-Z, and performance-wise, Beyoncé pinpointing her sounds is no easy task, but ‘Overthinking’ is a pop song with slight elements of afro sounds. The song is her first official single off her upcoming EP which she inadvertently announced in True Love magazine. The song is out on all music streaming platforms if you haven’t listened to it do so below.
The wait is over, Overthinking is out now! I made this song because I know how many people can relate to being stuck in their heads. This song is close to me and I can’t wait for you all to join me on this journey.– Nissi
