Patta & Tommy Hilfiger Collaborate to Pay Homage to NYC Hip-Hop

Patta is an Amsterdam-based brand founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume Schmidt in 2004 and it is one of a handful of black-owned streetwear brands with a huge following and an eminent reputation, whereas, on the other hand, Tommy Hilfiger is expressed as one of the world’s leading designer lifestyle brands and is internationally recognized for celebrating the essence of classic American cool style, featuring preppy with a twist designs.

The two brands have now come together to create a collection that pays homage to the New York City and 90s eras. “The collection is basically an ode to New York City and the nineties, one of the golden eras of hip-hop,” said Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt, Patta co-founder. The collaboration undeniably celebrates the past, but it is created in and for the present by encompassing New York native artists Wiki and Mike for the campaign — two artists regarded as leading figures in the raw resurgence of the current era of hip-hop.

Together with renowned music producer The Alchemist, the pair have created an original track titled “One More” for the collaboration, a limited-edition 12” vinyl housing various mixes, as well as two additional tracks featuring the two independently.
