Patta and New Balance joined forces once more, elevating their friendship to a new level and working together on the renowned 990 V3 sneakers for the first time. The new phase of the partnership has a similar identifiable feel to earlier Patta x New Balance offerings, but this time the two produced a shoe for every member of the family. This release follows an autumnal brown 920 from 2020 and the highly sought-after “Peach Grey” 991 from last year, both of which quickly sold out.
The Patta x New Balance 990 V3 capitalizes on the value of family and is a shoe that appeals to both our immediate and extended families. Keeping the family close is the concept with the duo making the shoe appealing to infants and grandparents. This is the first time the duo has released a pair of sneakers to pair with the adult models and it is Patta’s first ever children’s sneaker. The Patta x New Balance 990 V3 is made of olivine and accented with sand and strong green-fluorescent colours. It combines the traditional New Balance aesthetic with the recognizable Patta style.
The sole is white and grey with modest branding elements including Patta branding on the heel counter and the Patta letter P on the heel tab. Patta produced a capsule line to go with the shoes. For both adults and children, the collection includes crewneck sweatshirts, sweatpants, and t-shirts. The clothing comes in the same bold green as the Patta x New Balance 990 V3. The shoe adult size will retail for €250,00(R4 899,41), the infant size will retail for €70,00(R1 369,50) and €90,00(R1 761,58) for kids. Patta x New Balance is coming out Friday, 30th September at 13:00 CEST on newbalance.patta.nl and in Patta Chapter stores.
