Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation, affectionately known as YBNL Nation or simply YBNL, is an independent record label founded by Olamide in 2012. Olamide is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter, regarded as one of Africa’s most prominent and influential artists. The label has five artists under it, two of them being Fireboy DML and Asake. Three days ago Spotify took to socials to release a mini docuseries that sums up the label’s role and impact it has had in the Nigerian music industry.
To celebrate 10 years of @ybnlmafiafamily we took it to the streets to hear how the iconic label has played such an important role in music & impacted so many Nigerians.

This marks the 10th year of YBNL Nation, and with that said it only makes sense to spotlight three albums from the label that are making waves. The first is UY Scuti, Olamide’s 12th studio album released on the 18th of June 2021.
Followed by Fireboy DML’s third studio album, Playboy which is said by Apple Music to be a body of work that sees him shift moods entirely — from the vulnerable, introspective, and romantic persona he revealed on 2019 ’s Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps and 2020’s APOLLO, to the self-assured and unmistakably confident mindset that characterizes this project.
Last but definitely not least, Mr. Money with The Vibe by Asake. This debut album is the perfect blend of two massive genres in the continent currently – Amapiano and Afrobeat. Mr. Money with The Vibe was made for the dance floor and being ushered into spring and summer with its release is the cherry on top.
