Tems Wins Her First Grammy Award

Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems is enjoying the fruits of her labour.

Tems rose to prominence after she was featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single “Essence,” which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 – Tems was notably breaking out with her album, “For Broken Ears”, but at that very moment, she got the biggest co-sign in her career with Wizkid.

Tems walked away from the Grammy awards with her first Grammy, making her the first Nigerian female singer to win a Grammy award.
