Harlem native Daniel Day known fashionably as Dapper Dan or “King of Knock-offs” is a fashion designer. From the 80s and 90s, Dapper Dan has been steadily building a name and legacy for himself as the go-to designer for gangster-inspired clothing style, a great representation of luxurious rap culture.
Fast forward to 2023 and Dapper Dan is still at it. Late last year, in October, Dapper Dan unveiled his first collaboration with the global sportswear & lifestyle brand Puma. Now the partnership is following through with its second collection. The second collection also includes apparel and footwear. It is said to have drawn its inspiration from the pre-game runway looks while simultaneously paying homage to Dapper Dan’s hometown, Harlem.
This Dapper Dan x Puma collection will launch globally tomorrow, Jan. 14, at select retailers including Atmos, Extra Butter, Concepts, Bodega, and Social Status. Prices for the collection will range from $70 to $300 (R1 194 to R5 118).
