Thebe Magugu Named One of Vogue Business 100 Innovators

Thebe Magugu has been on a winning streak for a generous amount of time now and it is quite delightful to witness. From all the collaborative collections he created this year with globally renowned brands namely; adidas for “Finding Beauty” which was inspired by African heritage, inclusivity, and kinship followed by of course the biggest collaboration in my books, the Dior and Thebe Magugu capsule collection that benefits (CTAOP) – Charlize. Theron African Outreach Project.
These changemakers are challenging what it means to be successful in the worlds of fashion and beauty – often behind the scenes. Hand-picked by our global team of editors, we are proud to present the inaugural Vogue Business 100 Innovators list.
– Vogue Business Team
Vogue Business introduced a new offering (for lack of a better word) called the Vogue Business 100 Innovators list which is essentially reported to have been established to spotlight the people around the world who are fostering new ideas, pushing forward innovation, and changing the way we view the future of these industries. The list of the 100 innovators who are industry professionals and opinion leaders was decided upon by the global Vogue Business team of journalists with five sub-categories in mind – Tech and Web Innovators, Sustainability Thought Leaders, Next-gen Entrepreneurs and Agitators, New-Era Retail and Beauty Game-changers.
Thebe was listed on the Vogue Business 100 Innovators list under the New-Era Retail sub-category which doesn’t come as a shock because what the Thebe Magugu clothing brand has attained since its emergence is formidable. This luxury South African fashion brand which strives through its pillar practices of “cultural honour, novelty and uncompromising quality as well as establishing an identity marked by self-evolving timelessness” is unquestionably destined for more greatness.
I am so honoured to be named one of Vogue Business’ 100 Innovators. As entrepreneurs, one day you’re in a room sketching and when you look up, you’re steering a ship that holds precious cargo and other human lives through ever-changing conditions.
Recognition like this always makes the journey less lonesome; that our trek is on a global radar.
Thank you @voguebusiness.
