Watch: Mecca Mind on “Pula” Visuals

Mecca Mind is an emerging musical artist from Bloemfontein but is currently based in Cape Town. He draws his inspirations from Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu and other artists from the whole Soulection movement. He recently released visuals for a song titled “Pula.”

Pula, which translates to “Rain” in English is the second single from Mecca Mind’s mixtape titled “Let The Kidz Play.” The song is said to be special to him as it is the first time in a while he incorporates his native language in a song and it is expressed as a very spiritual song in which he talks about where he is right now emotionally and mentally. The name of the song is inspired by “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” which is one of his favourite songs by Missy Elliot.
