Watch: PsychoYP on “Silent Mode” Visuals

Born Nicholas Ihua –Maduenyi, PsychoYP, is a Nigerian rapper who was born in Abuja and is amongst one of the continent’s hottest new wave rappers. He is defined as an artist who isn’t afraid to push himself to new heights, wants to pioneer trap culture in Nigeria and pave his path to the top of the new generation of urban music that is breaking down borders in Nigeria and beyond. He has two bodies of work, YP & Azanti, Vol. 1 released in 2020, Euphoria released in 2021 and a handful of singles. PsychoYP has now released visuals for ‘Silent Mode’ the seventh song from Ypszn3 the third instalment of his YSZN series.
‘Silent Mode’ is a trap merged with drill record that is refreshing to the ears because one has gotten to a point where we assume every song by a Nigerian artist will be either an afrobeat or afro-fused song. He gets his inspiration from Young Money, Travis Scott and Young Thug solely because all those names are moguls and pioneers in their own right. The visuals of the video are quite simple, as we mainly get to see the city’s skyscrapers as the primary background with PsychoYP and a mic. Watch the official music video of ‘Silent Mode’ below;
