Born Sadiq Onifade, but known professionally as WurlD is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. WurlD was born in Lagos, Nigeria but relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a secondary education and record music. He makes music that he describes as electro-fusion his first body of work offering was a debut EP titled Evolution which was released back in 2013. He followed through with a few more EPs Love Is Contagious in 2019, Afrosoul in 2020 and now a full-on project titled My WorlD With U released earlier this year.
‘Press’ is the 12th song off this 19-tracked body of work and it is yet another perfectly compiled R&B and soul banger. ‘Press’ went viral and gained massive airplay across Nigeria within a few days of its release. WurlD has just released the official music video for the song and it is beautifully shot, directed and stylized, but I wouldn’t expect any less from wurlD. In this album, I am showing the world that as men we are continuous work in progress, I am trying to be a better person, a better boyfriend and a better friend. I shared a lot of my imperfections, my struggles with relationships and what I am facing as a human being.
