Zakes Bantwini Takes You Back To The Release of “Abantu”

The Osama hitmaker gave us an album titled Ghetto King last year to enjoy the summer. The eleven-track project consists of singles that fuse House, Afro Electro and Deep House. Zakes Bantwini takes listeners on a journey which is half prayer and half aspiration but grounded in speaking to the Black experience.
The album opens with the Afro-House inspired single, “Abantu” with karyendasoul, featuring Nana Atta. Songs that provide a similar listening experience to Abantu range from Bawo (featuring Amanda Black) Uzalo (featuring Nomkhosi and Khetha) the Abantu remix by Da Capo titled “Amanga”, and Kumnyama (featuring Mthunzi).
The Mid-tempo is the epitome of dance music, infused with Nana Atta’s seamless vocals bringing it back to African roots. The trio of Zakes Bantwini, Karyendasoul and Nana Atta has proven to be the best in delivering dance music from Africa to the world. Listen to “Abantu” below.
